Bench
I rarely make this style of bench from bird's-eye maple,
because bird's-eye of sufficient thickness is a rare commodity.
The top is shaped from matched bird’s-eye maple two inches
thick.

Bird's-eye Maple
Game or Dining Table
A single drawer extends the full length of this table, and can
be pulled out from either side. The table is solid bird's-eye
maple, except for the birch drawer bottom. The drawer features
hand-cut dovetail joints and sculpted drawer slides.

Dining Table with Pedestal Base
The base of this table uses beautifully figured cherry that
is 1-1/2" thick, and is an attractive piece of sculpture
in its own right. The top is 1-1/8" thick, and attaches
firmly to the base with wood brackets.
